Sunbrella’s latest collection is here, bringing ‘Makers’ artistry to the industry!
The latest Sunbrella collection, Makers, by Glen Raven Custom Fabrics has made its debut on the market! The Makers Collection brings together modern manufacturing and traditional handweaving with authentic designs tied to years of skilled artisans. With more than 145 years of combined experience in textile design, the Sunbrella design team has collected inspiration from travel, personal experiences and art to weave these inspirations into their textile designs.
According to Greg Voorhis, design director for Glen Raven, “There is an intimate connection between the skill required to create a textile and the final product. The Makers Collection tells a story of what lies beneath the product to connect consumers to the fabric, from the yarn to the finished piece.”
Fabrics in the Makers Collection are suited for both indoor and outdoor use, and portray the importance of preserving the conventional element of craft with Sunbrella’s legendary performance in upholstery.
(Adaptation is a matte and shiny jacquard pattern with PVC yarn in a simple geometric pattern in tonal colors.)
(Artistry is a new stripe pattern, inspired by Mayan backstrap weaving.)
(Blend is a new texture that is made of a heavier yarn for a soft, textured hand that is available in numerous colors.)
(Midori is inspired by traditional Japanese Shibori dyeing, which creates one-of-a-kind pieces. Sunbrella recreated this look with modern weaving techniques to make the fabric look more primitive and handmade.)
(Paradigm is a traditional menswear-inspired pattern that pairs well with contemporary patterns.)
